Photo Friday- Little Man On the Run

Here is an adorable guy to brighten your Friday!!  I haven't taken photos of an almost 2 year old for awhile and I had forgotten how much they don't want to sit still!  I just went with his rhythm and followed him and let him lead the show.  This was a new shooting location for me as well so I felt a little nervous not knowing what I would find there.  Despite all of the new things for all of us to see and explore I hope I managed to capture the spirit of a 2 year old viewing the world on his own two feet. I'm so blessed to have such wonderful friends in my life who trust me with freezing time and capturing their memories. Thanks for stopping and have a great Friday!!

Photo Friday- Back to School 2016

It is that time of year again.  The smell of new crayons is in the air, the shoes are shiny and new, and summer is over.  Yep, it is back to school time.  My guys went back to school yesterday and had a wonderful time in their new classes.  The boys are in 8th, 5th, 4th, and 2nd this year.  How did they all get so big?  How did I get so lucky to have such handsome sons?  I will admit I had a little momma moment on the way to school and teared up just a bit when I thought about this being the last year that all of my boys will be in the same school.  I took a deep breath and then all was well.  They are all ready to be back in a routine and with their friends and I am ready to have some quiet time.  Here's to a great school year!

Photo Friday- One Fantastic Family

A Photo Friday has been long over due and I have the perfect family to showcase today.  I have been friends with Nick and Katie for over 15 years! I knew they would make awesome parents and when their little guy arrived this last November they showed me that I was right.  George is one of the sweetest little guys I've met.  He is so laid back (just like mom and dad) and maybe fussed 15 minutes total the entire weekend they were here!  The love they have for this little guy is evident in every smile and look they give him.  He is one lucky little boy and I have never seen two happier parents.  I'm so glad they came up so we could meet him and I could capture this little snippet of their family at this stage!  Not only did my house get super clean (can we say four boys make a pretty big mess and Legos aren't for 7 month olds) but we also got some wonderful photos.  Here are just a few of my favorites. Thanks for stopping!

Photo Friday- The Daugherty Family

What a week of weather we had here in Nebraska!  Today it is bright and sunny with temps in the 50's and a couple of days ago it was pouring rain and hail with 60 mph winds!  I think winter will be here soon whether I like it or not.  Luckily the weather was perfect last weekend when I had this photo session with some good friends of our family.  We were able to get some great shots on this beautiful day.  I had so much fun working with them and capturing their family at this time in their lives.  Thanks for stopping!

Photo Friday- Hotel Transylvania 2 Halloween

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween.  We sure did!  There is just something about Halloween that I just love.  I'm not sure if it's the candy, the costumes, or the spooky atmosphere but I look forward to Halloween every year.  If you've been following my blog you know that since 2008 we have done some kind of themed costume for our family or our boys.  If you are new to my blog you can see those costumes here.  It gets a little harder each year to come up with something new.  The boys are getting older and want to be scarier and it's hard to find group costumes for 5 males and 1 female (if you have any ideas I'd love to hear them!).  So when the boys went and saw Hotel Transylvania 2 for a birthday party and they were all super excited about the movie and the characters we went with it.  I will admit that I still haven't seen the movie!  I did see the first one though the night before Halloween so I at least knew a little bit about my character.  So here is our version of Hotel Transylvania 2.  Sorry for all of the pictures.  I just had too many good ones to share!  There are also a couple of special guests that joined us for Halloween.  I think you'll like their costumes as well.  Enjoy and thanks for stopping!

I needed one picture of me without those teeth!

Brigham aka Batdog came along for a nice walk.
Some fun decorations we saw while trick-or-treating.

Nightmare on Redick Street
This guy creeps me out every year.  I finally was brave enough to take a picture.  They go all out at this house both with decorating the house and with the costumes.  This guy is one of at least 6 scary characters they have every year.
